Award for Sanquin scientists

At the annual symposium of the Dutch Blood Transfusion Society and TRIP, several Sanquin researchers won awards.

• Welling Oei (formerly of the Unit Transfusion Technology Assessment) received the Dr. H.C.J.M. van Dijk award for the best PhD thesis for her thesis 'Modelling the risk of emerging infections for blood transfusion‘

Poster awards 

• Claudia Folman, Sanquin Diagnostic Services, for her poster ‘Transfusiebeleid bij autoantistoffen waar je U tegen zegt’ 
• Anneke de Vos, Dept. Blood-borne infections, for her poster ‘Het voorspellen van anti-RhD titers in donors: boosterrespons en daalsnelheid zijn persoonlijk’.
• Ivo van der Bijl, Dept Blood cell research, for his poster ‘Regulatie van integrine gemedieerde angiogenese geïnduceerd door groeifactoren uit plaatjes
