NewsSanquin-scientist Rick Kapur published that inflammatory conditions such as ITP, Arthritis and TRALI can be treated with antibodies against red blood cells by inflicting inflammation.
This suggests that anti-red blood cell antibodies can function as IVIg in inflammatory disorders. He conducted this work with his former Canadian coworkers.
