Award for Mariet Feltkamp for her work on DNA-virusses

Last week Sanquin’s medical virologist Mariet Feltkamp received the ESCV Biomerieux Award 2024 during the Annual Meeting of the European Society for Clinical Virology, in Frankfurt.
She was given this award for leadership in the area of viral diagnosis of DNA-viruses, especially of Polyomavirus and Anellovirus. Apart from the award, she was offered to give a lecture about her research on polyomaviruses and torque teno viruses that she performs at the LUMC, department of Medical Microbiology, and at Sanquin Research.
