Sanquin, in collaboration with Amsterdam UMC (VUmc location), offers internships in the field of donor medicine. Sanquin is responsible for blood supply in the Netherlands and serves as a center of expertise in donor and transfusion medicine. In addition to providing blood products, we conduct scientific research on blood and the immune system, develop medicines and diagnostics, and are committed to education and knowledge sharing.

Our donor studies are essential for improving the safety and effectiveness of blood donation, both for donors and recipients. We study donor responses to donations, enhance donation processes, and safeguard donor health. An overview of our research projects can be found at: Sanquin Donor Studies.
