Population DIS-II

In 2012-2013, all still eligible 29,532 DIS-I participants were invited for DIS-II, of whom 22,132 (75%) agreed to participate. In addition, 12,694 (62%) of 20,468 new randomly selected donors participated. Altogether 34,826 donors completed the written DIS-II questionnaire.

The DIS-II questionnaire (pdf) was similar to the DIS-I questionnaire, but slightly updated. The questionnaires consisted of questions regarding demographic characteristics, donation, lifestyle, health and disease, family composition and medical history as well as menstruation, menopause and pregnancy.
